Moving home

Moving house is already a stressful time, but please do not forget to inform the council of your change of address no more than 14 days before or after you have moved; it could affect things like Housing Benefit, Council Tax Support or any other support you require.

It has never been easier to tell us that you are moving house – you can do this all online.

Before starting, check if your property is within the Knowsley Council area. If your address is not listed as you are moving into a newly built property, the developer will be able to advise you.

Don’t forget – check the council tax band for your new address. Please note if you are moving into a newly built property, your address may not have a property banding as this needs to be decided by the Valuation Office.
